All set for TRS plenary

Over ten thousand party functionaries, leaders and elected representatives will be attending the one day plenary scheduled for Friday.

Hyderabad: Kompally has been decked up for the 16th plenary of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Full-fledged arrangements have been put in place for the occasion.

The party leadership has attached greater political significance to the event which marks the completion of 33 months of TRS rule. Over ten thousand party functionaries, leaders and elected representatives will be attending the one day plenary scheduled for Friday. The venue has been named as ‘Telangana Pragathi Pranganam’. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who steered the party in its fight for separate Telangana will be re-elected as party president from at the same venue.

This plenary is being viewed as a right occasion for midterm appraisal for the party policies and programmes and their implementation by the government. Enthused by the success of the flagship programmes of the government such as total loan wavier for farmers, improved power supply for agriculture services, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, CM’s assurance for free supply of fertilizers and hike in quota for tribals and backward class, the party workers are going all out to strengthen the support base of the party.

As many as 19 resolutions drafted by the resolution committee headed by K Keshava Rao will be widely discussed and adopted in the plenary. The party has decided to organise its show of strength in the form of a massive rally in Warangal, for the first time away from the venue of plenary. The venue will be spread over a sprawling 60 acre ground with separate parking facility that can accommodate vehicles coming from the all 31 districts. The party has tasked the responsibility of hosting the delegates with delicacies of Telangana to a separate committee, food arrangements are being made to provide lunch for over fifteen thousand people.

The cultural troops led by Rasamayi Balakishan, chairman of Samskruthika Saradhi will be giving special performance showcasing the culture, traditions and folklore of Telangana. Entry into the venue has been restricted to only pass holders. As many as 31 reception centers were setup to receive delegates from the respective districts and guide them to respective enclosures. The Ministers for Industries KT Rama Rao, Minister for Animal Husbandry, City mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan accompanied by host of MLAs who visited the venue reviewed the arrangements and expressed their satisfaction. Invitation has been extended to all the party functionaries who has been associated with the organisation right from its inception 2001.

Banners barred
The TRS plenary gave an eco-friendly touch to its arrangements by barring flexes and banners in and around the venue. The Minister for industries KTR has appeal to all the party workers to restrain from erecting any kind of material made of chemicals.

Traffic information
Total traffic regulation for the vehicle coming from the 31 districts would be made right from Outer Ring Road point with display of 2,000 special boards directing them to the plenary venue.

Special medical camps
In view of heat wave conditions prevailing in the State, the organisers have taken enough measures as a precaution to ensure safety of the party workers. Special medical camps will be set up.
