Visakhapatnam: A Road and Buildings Deputy Executive Engineer Subas Chandra Patro, who during Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raids was found to posses nearly Rs.100 crore worth of property according to market value, was arrested and sent to remand on Saturday night.
The ACB officials who had spent the entire day at his premises, arrested and produced him in the ACB Special Court here. Patro was sent to remand and would again be produced in court on January 6.
The ACB officials who raided Patro’s residence in Visalakshinagar in the city, found property documents relating to house sites in the name of his son Sivaprasad and wife Lakshmishanti.
These included three sites in Madhurawada Shipyard Colony, two each in Visalakshinagar, Gandigundam, Bhogapuram, and one each in Arilova, Chinagantyada and Muralinagar. Apart from this he owned a huge commercial complex in Madhurawada, two houses in Visalakshinagar and Venkojipalem in the city, the documents of which were seized by the ACB along with large quantity of gold.
