Hyderabad: The Nalgonda police on Wednesday booked a case against a 21-year-old person on charges of sexually assaulting four girl students of a primary school.

The case was booked against K. Nanda Kumar under different sections of the Nirbhaya Act along with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by parents of the girls, said Nalgonda Superintendent of Police N. Prakash Reddy.

Kumar, a resident of Nalgonda, is presently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Nalgonda after relatives of the girls bashed him up on coming to know about the incident.

“We will arrest Kumar once he is discharged from the hospital,” Mr. Reddy said.
