Sangareddy: The much-awaited movie on the life of Malavath Poorna, the youngest girl in the world to conquer Mount Everest, is all set to hit the silver screen in Telugu, Hindi and English languages on March 31 across the globe.

After a gap of 15-years, actor turned Director, Rahul Bose took up his second directorial project after his first movie “Everybody says I’m fine” and this time he chose to show the life and achievement of Malavath Poorna on the silver screen, who made Telangana proud by climbing Mount Everest at the age of 13 years and 11 months.

Bose is also playing the role of RS Praveen Kumar, an IG cadre IPS officer from Telangana and the Secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools. Praveen Kumar played a key role in identifying the talented Poorna and her companion, Anand and provided them training at Bhongir Rock Climbing School located in Yadadri-Bhongir district. Bose and his team had spent a fortnight during the December month of 2015 on Bhongir Hillock, where a crucial part of the movie had been shot.

To the Bose’ post on Twitter announcing the release date of the film, several film personalities and critics responded saying that they were eagerly waiting for the biopic. Thanking all of them, Bose said “all I can say is it will be worth your while. I promise.”

As the slew of biopics made on various sports personalities by film makers in India during the past few years that include recently released Amir Khan Starrer Dangal drew a great response, the film critics hope that the Poorna would attract the movie-goers.

Movies like, Chak de India, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Paan Singh Tomar, Mary Kom, Sultan, MS Dhoni: the untold story had done good business at the box office apart from winning the hearts of the fans and film critics.

Shekar Babu Bachenepally, who trained Malavath Poorna and assisted Bose in making the movie, has said that the movie would also get name and fame for Telangana, since it is going to be released in English and Hindi languages.

In a post on his twitter handle, Bose had compared that Poorna’s achievement with Dipa Karmakar’s Produnova and PV Sindhu’s overhead backhand smash after the latter two made the country proud with their overwhelming performance in summer Olympics in 2016 .
