Hyderabad: Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), LB Nagar, Ramulu Naik was on Wednesday transferred and asked to report at the Director General of Police (DGP)’s office.

The orders reportedly came in the wake of allegations levelled against the officer over his alleged involvement in civil matters. According to the police, the Rachakonda Commissionerate has submitted a report on the complaint filed by Santosh Reddy, a resident of Vanasthalipuram, who alleged that the officer had tried to get involved in a civil dispute, on which a police complaint was not lodged then, and tried to favour his opponent.

“The report was submitted few days ago. Accordingly, an official transfer order was issued asking the ACP first to report at the DGP’s office by Wednesday evening,” said D Janaki, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate.

Rachakonda Comissionerate Mahesh M Bhagwat had earlier issued suspension orders for the two Sub-Inspector rank police officers in connection with the same case. Pahadishareef SI Saidulu and Balangar SI Narsing Rathod were suspended for trying to intervene in the issue, despite knowing that it did not fall under police matters.
